JWEF 2013 : list of events this year !

The Junior World Entrepreneurship Forum (JWEF) is a global community of young entrepreneurs and students passionate about entrepreneurship. Learn more about JWEF 2013 in this article.

We gather during local forums to learn from entrepreneurial experiences, exchange about entrepreneurship, get inspired by entrepreneurs and connect to them.

The aim of the JWEF as a community is to gather young people passionate about changing their world by creating wealth and social justice.

The JWEF 2013 community will organise several Junior World Entrepreneurship Forums.

In Lyon and Hangzhou last week took place the 2 first JWEFs of 2013. Much more Junior World Entrepreneurship Forums are to come :

  1. JWEF Lyon, in partnership with Société Générale : April 18th to 20th. During 3 days, about 200 students and young entrepreneurs gathered in EMLYON Business School. Speakers included Michel Coster from EMLYON Business School Incubator, Philippe Heim CFO of Société Générale, Nazrin Hassan from Cradle Investment Fund (Malaysia), Stéphane Treppoz CEO of Sarenza.com, Blandine Mulliez and Jean-Yves Dugast directors of Fondation Entreprendre, Jean-Marc Borello president of  Groupe SOS, Nicolas Rohr CEO of Faguo Shoes and Michael Teoh (Malaysia) from Youth Entrepreneurs Malaysia. The team is now working on crafting recommendations that they will disclose during the World Entrepreneurship Forum. Videos from the live broadcast are already available, and more media will be available soon. More about the speakers can be found here.
  2. JWEF Hangzhou : April 19th to 20th. Organized by Global Entrepreneurship Program students and Zhejiang University’s MBA, this first 100% Chinese JWEF was held during two days in Zhejiang University and was a real success. More than 300 participants came to share on the topic “Entrepreneurs: navigating change for sustainable growth”, with a specific focus on “starting with small assets”. A pitch contest was organized, with a professional board of investors screening the ideas of 12 teams (from the 200 preselected on Sina Weibo). More media will soon be available online, and the team is working on the white paper to synthesize recommendations.
  3. JWEF Shanghai : June 7th to 9th. The team has just arrived in Shanghai and is now working on preparing the event at the East China Normal University. More news very soon.
  4. JWEF Singapore : July 4th to 7th. Already led by a team of passionate students and young entrepreneurs, JWEF 2013 in Singapore will take place at NTU.
